What We Believe

Helping you understand who we are and what we stand for.

At West Acres Baptist Church, our greatest desire is to love God, love people, and share the good news of Jesus Christ. As a Southern Baptist church, our beliefs are grounded in the truth of the Bible and centered on the life-changing message of the gospel.

Here’s a brief overview of what we believe:

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God’s perfect Word. It is our guide for life, faith, and truth—and it tells the story of God’s love and His plan for salvation.

God

We believe in one true God who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things and is holy, loving, and just.

Jesus Christ

Jesus is the Son of God. He came to earth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again. Through Him, we can be forgiven and have eternal life.

Salvation

Salvation is a free gift from God. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus—not by our own works. Anyone who repents and believes in Christ is made new and given the promise of Heaven.

Baptism & the Lord’s Supper

We practice believer’s baptism by immersion, symbolizing our new life in Christ. We also regularly observe the Lord’s Supper in remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice for us.

The Church

The church is not a building—it’s a family of believers who follow Jesus together. We gather to worship, grow in faith, serve others, and share the gospel with the world.

Our Mission

Jesus gave us a mission: to go and make disciples of all nations. Whether in our community or around the world, we are committed to living out our faith and sharing God’s love with others.
